Perinatal Mental Health Coaching & Postpartum Doula Work
Testimonials
I had the pleasure of working with Mo as my personal trainer for several years, both in a fitness studio and later in my own home. Our sessions focused on strength training and fitness with the goal of helping me lose weight and build confidence, and Mo delivered in every possible way. She offered the perfect balance of support and challenge, knowing exactly when to push me and when to adjust based on how I was feeling, physically and mentally.
What truly set Mo apart was her holistic approach. She always took my mental health into consideration and offered thoughtful, realistic nutritional guidance to complement my training. Our sessions often felt like therapy in the best way, I genuinely looked forward to seeing her every week.
Mo’s natural ability to connect, motivate, and support makes her a perfect fit for her next chapter in coaching moms through their perinatal journeys. I only wish I could still train with her! Any mom would be lucky to have her in their corner-she’s compassionate, knowledgeable, and a true professional.

Mo was my postpartum doula following the birth of my first baby and she became a vital part of my village in those early weeks.
From my first call with her during my pregnancy, I knew that Mo was a special person. She truly believes a healthy baby starts with a mentally and physically strong mother and her practical, experience based advice has eased many of my anxieties.
While many people were checking in on my newborn, Mo was the first to always ask about me. My husband and I looked forward to her calming presence in the mornings, easing the stress of whatever sleep had or hadn’t happened the night before, and helping me to navigate the highs and lows of early motherhood. Her knowledge about newborns is rivaled only by her compassionate understanding of postpartum care. My hope for any new mom is for them to have someone like Mo in their corner in those precious first months.

My doula Mo literally put me back together when I felt Broken from birth and my hormones crashing. I joke she was my Personal Mary Poppins; she came in and saved the day, from holding my baby, teaching me best ways to breast feed, doing my laundry and cleaning my house. She was a supportive ear to talk to and constantly told me I was doing a good job, even when I didn’t feel I was. I will remember Mo for the rest of my life as a literal angel for the life changing support she gave me during one of the most difficult times of my life.

I have known Mo Hoffman for at least 20 years. She started out as my personal trainer at Fitness Together, and I found her diligent, knowledgeable, professional, patient, as well as helpful and supportive to me as a senior citizen trying to achieve my goal of becoming strong enough to live on my own. She was truly a star trainer, one who was very much in demand by others who saw her passion for innovation and results in training. She often brought new ideas and strategies into the training workplace, which helped me and her other clients to understand the physical processes behind the training moves. I and her colleagues have the greatest respect for her abilities.

I had the pleasure of Mo being my postpartum doula in the Fall of 2024. I gave birth to my daughter in September and she was with us until the end of November. During that time, she saw all of the ups and downs of my early postpartum journey. Around October, I started to experience symptoms of postpartum depression. Mo saw the signs of it before I did, gently expressing that I seemed more "blue” than usual. She got me connected with a local postpartum therapist, recommended different therapeutic modalities such as vitamins/supplements as well as acupuncture, and overall, checked in with me on a regular basis. She wanted to make sure I stayed on top of my mental health and getting ahead of the PPD before it had the chance to get worse. Above all, she made me feel as if I wasn’t alone and that we were going to figure this out together. That kind of care and attention to detail she provided me is beyond what I could have ever imagined. Anyone experiencing the highs and lows of postpartum would be lucky to have Mo in their corner.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Mo as my personal trainer for the past eight years, and I can confidently say that her coaching has been nothing short of transformational. From our very first session, Mo demonstrated a deep understanding of fitness, health, and individualized coaching. She took the time to learn not just about my goals, but about my lifestyle, preferences, and limitations. Her ability to tailor workouts that were both challenging and achievable kept me motivated and on track, even during times when I struggled with consistency or confidence.
What truly sets Mo apart is her coaching style. She strikes the perfect balance between encouragement and accountability. She celebrates every milestone, no matter how small, and uses setbacks as learning moments instead of discouragement. Her energy is contagious, and her belief in my potential helped me push past mental and physical barriers I never thought I could overcome.
Thanks to Mo’s guidance, I’ve not only met my fitness goals—I’ve exceeded them. I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever before. She’s helped me develop sustainable habits that have improved my overall well-being, and I am incredibly grateful for her ongoing support and expertise.

Mo was my PT from 2006-2016 and again from 2022-2024. She carried me through 3 pregnancies, whether she was getting me ready for labor or guiding me through my postpartums with yoga, meditation and nutrition it was always done to fit my exact needs that were always changing. Mo worked with many of my friends who I know used her expertise through many transitions of life. Mo's approach to health is well rounded, constantly evolving and always through understanding. We became good friends and watching her raise her 2 sons has been a joy. Her step into the doula and perinatal mental health world is beyond fitting.

Mary's entire team was exceptional throughout my pregnancy journey. I also ended up hiring their postpartum doula, Mo, and she was a true lifesaver. Due to extreme swelling, I had limited mobility in my leg, but Mo took wonderful care of my baby, allowing me to rest and focus on my recovery. She created such a warm and supportive environment at home, and my baby absolutely adores her.

Maureen was my PP doula and aside from the physical help with baby+ getting so many “invisible” tasks done around the house, she provided love, comfort, and emotional/spiritual support during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I hadn’t even considered getting a PP doula but now I want to tell everyone, especially first time mothers, to consider this invaluable service. I highly recommend getting one if you have the resources to do so. You won’t regret it!
